New Lands Campaign

Pheonix-IV
Ok, i recently started a campaign in my spare time, the Campaign is based around what happened to the Kul'Tiras Navy after Rexxar killed Proudmoore. It will have 9 - 11 missions and contains elements from both a Campaign and an RPG. For Example there are 5 "classes" of items, Weapon, Helm, Armor, Shield and Miscellanious. You may carry only 1 of each with the exception of Miscellanious, you may carry as many of them as you wish.

So far i have completed the Prologue, the first map and the first map interlude (all 3 are contained in the attached RAR as a campaign file) comments and critiques are encouraged.

Btw, to help out those of you who play it heres a small table:

Race Name: Kul'Tiras
Names: Kul'Tiras Navy, Kul'Tiras Marines, Kul'Tiras Guardians, Renegades.
Races Involved: Humans (just humans)
Magics: Some Holy Light magics, some Hypnosis magics.
Weapons: Steel, Iron, Hardened Iron\Steel, Cast Iron\Steel, Mithril (in small quantities)
Required Resources: Gold, Wood, Food
Gold: Attained by gathering trophy heads from certain enemies later in the game, from liberating gold mines, from mining gold mines and from destroying Temple Stashes.
Wood: Attained from chopping trees, looting enemy buildings and capturing Wood Stockpiles.
Food: Attained by building Tents, Huts and Farms.

Race Name: Jungle Orcs
Names: Destroyers, Raiders, Annihlators, Shamans, Treedwellers, Vineclimbers.
Races Involved: A variation of Forest Troll, much bigger than their Lordaeron bretheren. Rrhargrash - a type of Tropical mammal that resembles the Mamnoths of the north, used as beasts of burden and war beasts. Shilack - a strange Bird\Bat hybrid, used as a method of locomotion and for aireal combat.
Magics: Elemental Shamanism
Weapons: Stone, wood, fire hardened wood, small amounts of iron and bronze.
Required Resources: Food, Building Materials, Population
Food: Attained from Hunting, foraging, raiding food stores or from finding a food stockpile.
Building Materials: Attained by chopping wood, trading with Goblins or Capturing Goblin Lumbercamps.
Population: Attainable by building Huts, Farms and Signal Fires.

Race Name: Ar'Gul
Names: Tidewalkers, Seadwellers, Deepdemons, Ravagers, Rockclimbers, Stonehurlers, Reefeaters, Dreadbringers.
Races Involved: Ar'Gul - a variation of Mur'Gul and Murloc, slightly bigger than their inland bretherin, but much more intellegent, able to manipulate powerful magics. Cry'Shrak, a kind of Water Spider, nicknamed "Crystal Spider" because of its shining, almost crystalline carapace. Runs over water and land at equal speeds and its poison is fatal. Lobstrokk - Gigantic mutated Lobsters, often created from normal Lobsters by the powerful Ar'Gul magics.
Magics: Death, Pain, Dread, Water, Ice, Air, Earth and Darkness magics.
Weapons: Coral, Shell, Razorspine.
Resources Used: Fish, Building Materials, Population
Fish: Attained by fishing from Shoals, gained periodically from Fish Farms, by Capturing Goblin Shipyards and by controlling Fish Stockpiles.
Building Materials: Attained by harvesting Coral, Wood and Shells, also attained by controlling a Materials Stockpile.

This sounds promising and very original. Plus your writing is good so I know I'll be able to understand the cut scenes :)

I haven't experienced many other campaigns so I'm not familiar whether custom races are common or not, but this is the first example I've seen. I'm looking forward to checking this out.

heh Peace, i started out with really really creative ideas, but i realised that 1 man just dosnt have the power to create huge amazing ideas like TToR to take an example, i slowly got simpler and simpler untill i hit this, it will have custom skins and possibly later custom models, right now only basic skins and public models are included, music from WCII is tehre too.

see if this link works:

My only suggestion is to not call the Jungle Orcs 'Orcs' at all, but instead stay with some variation of 'Trolls' or perhaps make up your own name.

Orcs come from Draenor, not some jungle.

the reason for calling them orcs becomes apparant later in the story, i feel there are way too many names for trolls, i might come up with a different one but for now they are orcs and orcs they will remain.

the campaign is still in its early stages, and unless i can find somewhere to host a possible 10 - 20 meg file (may have to request hosting here at WC3C or another WC site) this will die, the 2nd playable mission is almost complete. The first few missions are there to establish the storyline, whats happening from the various points of view, the twists and backstabs in the story eventually get really complecated, with everyone trying to kill everyone else. After 3 or so human missions it becomes the forest troll's missions, then the humans again, then the Ar'Gul, occasionally you can control "incomplete" bases of the other races and at one point you get to use Goblins :D
