His stance is unnatural, but a normal misstake. His shouldamour looks a bit thin or weak :bgrun: ...maybe. Also, that is a L axe. I would recommend you a XL ;) still it's good. Hope u like my comments, they are supposed to help |

Hmmm..I think that only his legs are litle bit wrong. (I just noticed that) In my opinion the hammer is big enough...for some reason it looks bigger on paper emote_confused Thx for the comments ! BTW: How could you mistake that hammer as a axe ? emote_sweat |

the hammer is the right size in my opinion. its really big and bada.ss, but not that big that he wouldnt be able to lift it anymore. |

Seeing as how the Balrogs were servants of Morgoth, I always thought of him as appearing a bit Balrog-like (as in the movies). I draw him more with armor similar to, yet different, than Sauron's, and give him wings and a tail; maybe I'll scan it sometime. |

John Howe drew it as a mace, but actually it's a hammer... |

... Garithos... I am going to say it sucks... although it doesn't... The reason I say this is because the drawing does not have the "character" ascribed to Morgoth... Morgoth is the Pinnacle of Evil... He must look malevolent and have a posture that exudes power... he never stands neutral... even when he literally does... you can feel the malice that his body emanates. When you draw Morgoth again... Think Darth Vader in a really angry mood... they are roughly similar in the way they exude malice and hate. To draw well is to make the drawing come alive... I... and apparently you as well cannot do that yet. icbm1987 |

Do you have any ideas what i should do to make it look more evil ? And yeah...I can't make my pictures look "living" but if i just draw enough some day i can make them look better. and WTF does this mean emote_confused "Garithos... I am going to say it sucks... although it doesn't..." |

:gsmile: something nice, don't worry. The pose and some characteristics (or however it's spelled) makes a person evil. Like a scar over the eye... always means "bad guy". Maybe I'll post some examples If I get some free time and inspiration in the weekend |

it's not that great... doesn't look very menacing.. the warhammer is cool tho. |

The it sux comment should just be disregarded... it made sense then but it doesn't now... its a good drawing... but it lacks character. To personify evil... (I would appreciate it if others would help on this part...) Think of what scares you the most... a living man? or one that isn't even there? Dripping fangs? or a Silent... mouthless shade? The beard is not what you want here... and you must refrain from showing flesh... that gives him human qualities. The eyes must be inhuman... and supernatural in that evil sort of way. For evil... fur is not good... it is associated with warm and fuzzy things.(dont contradict me with arthas, I can't find a reason for his). Normal clothing does not befit Morgoth because he does not need clothes... straight armor is more menacing. And evil guys can't be fat... the clown, a fat guy, becomes Violator, a skinny devil. You cant really imagine the devil being fat... can you? And again... I would appreciate if someone like Lord would add to this... he has achieved a very menacing avatar... he can probably give you some tips. icbm1987 |

If I get bored tomorrow and need some ideas, since I've had none..., to draw I may try to draw him in a powerful pose.... and make him all evil like, like ICBM1987 described... |
