I just see that the Explaination don't have the UVW animation and Particle emitter part. I'm sory for that, because it was late when i made the tutorial, so i may forgot sum stuff. I will update the Explaination as same time as i release the tutorials.

After attempting one mdl edit, I realize how much this reminds me of PHP...

mad lion, I wanna Ask A Question. I have A Edit captain Model For The mod i'm working on WOZ, Well Any way I deleted some vertices, now I can't use the captain animations. They wouldn't look right any way. Is there A way to copy over the MountainKing Animations. I know I have to copy over the sequnces, And I will copy over all the bones, so shouldn't the matrices be right?

i really dont get your point.
but try to not delete anything, just transparent it with the texture.
and if you want to transfer animation from MK to the captain, do what u did: copy sequences and copy animation of each bone that is needed.
maybe you have to send me the model u have a problem with, so i can figure out whats wrong.

ok.. i have not a prob but annoyance. .mdls have a lot of stuff in them, and numbers. so when your trying to find the right bone to attach to a geoset, not only is it sort of hard to find the matrice, its like impossible to find the bone. we need some sort of super .mdl organizer/editor program. i know there a geoset replacer but thats not quite it so... if there is a program please tell me where it is, and if not... just think about how usefull it would be (<--- that means make one :ggani: )

Hi,

I have a helpfull comment for the part of your tutorial which reads thusly:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Geoset Anim

This is the section for visible animation, also when which geoset shall hide or show(0 is hide and 1 is show). This section looks something like this:

GeosetAnim {
Alpha 14 {
DontInterp,
667: 0,
1833: 0,
5133: 0,
6833: 1,
8967: 0,
}
static Color { 0, 0, 1 }, ß I don't know what this really is
GeosetId 0,

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The "static color { 0, 0, 0, }", as far as I can tell, refers to the blue green red tinting value of the geoset animation. I'm not sure exactly how mdl editing works, I've oly been at it for a few days, but I changed the infernals fire to red with it and it sort of worked with a few left over green bits which is why I need your help. :)
I'm trying to change the smoke color on the skeletal mage and the smoke on his head is changing but the stuff on the wand is the same and I can't figure out why they won't both change. Please help me.

Thanks, man. That helped allot.
