I was wondering if someone could help me with with transferring animations. I tried to copy the orc shaman's animations to the orc grunt. I copied over the sequences and replaced the bones keeping same name, object id, and parent, But when I go to look at it like weird and animations are screwed. If you can help me I would really appreciate it. |

Are you using War3Viewer or WE to view the new anims? It's just War3Viewer can't view them properly... |

War3viewer cant view them proberly. Use WE to view it, If this doesnt work, then i will make a animation transfer from shaman to grunt and send to u. Here is what you have to do for animation transfer(just for checking if u done right): Copy all the animation sequences(death,stand,walk...) from the shaman and totally replace it with the grunt's sequences. Copy the animation of the bones and replace it with the grunt's bones(the bones have to be the same, like Bone_arm shall replace with bone_arm). Do not copy the name,id and parrent of the shamans bones, just copy the animation(it start with translation.rotation or scaling) and replace it with the grunt's animation. |

I've always tested it in war3veiwer. I'll try in game. Thanks for help. Wooo Crap, The model streches and grabs othrer units and then starts running while his standing then it plays dying animation then when he moves there is no animation. I don't really need it I just wanted to see if I could get one to work. If The Shaman Has Bones The Orc Doesn't do I have to copy them over putting them at the end and give them the right objectID? |

But if the shaman uses bone that the grunt doesn't do I have to copy them over giving them the rigth objectID and if I do what should parent be? I'm redoing it becuiase I have about 5 versions and I don'y know which is which. I redid it the model doesn't streach but the animations are still not right, when he's standing there he play the run animations athen free and the continue then the axe will jump out of his hand and come back and then he plays the die animations and makes dying sound. Then He has no animation for running he just moves arcross and for attack his left leg moves alittle. I can't find out what I'm doing wrong. :( :ggani: :( :ggani: :( Thank you so much. |

there is a problem when you add the shamans animation to the grunt: The shaman dont have the bone_pelvis(so the grunt's bone_pelvis will still do its animation that will screw up the animation). The other thing is that the grunt have the axe, the axe have its own bone and animation(vitory animation). So the axe will act weird, so you have to remove the axe and change the parent of the bone_pelvis of the grunt to the object id of bone_chest(the grunt's bone_chest). |
