Any tips for making a decent humanoid running animation?

I've been working it through trial and error - getting better although some the sequence I did look really nice in the editor but look heinously weird when seen alongside the regular w3 units.

I've been studying them and their time intervals but anyone got any insight on the optimum way to animate running w3 style?

i havent animated yet, im learning how to rig first, but i had observed before, many warcraft 3 units move there whole body, rocking back and forth, not just the legs or head. try studying human walk? rather a run. most war3 units run

yeah, look at the arthas/paladin model or the marine, they are excellent refs :D
