Just a theory... but I bet it could be done.

So... here are some editing facts.

1) You can make a model and put it in a wc3 map (we all know that)
2) You can map a weapon to that model by sphering it to a hand
(not just weapons but head and other places, even to the ground and
make some kinda skateboard or floating disk or somthing)

Now, I never made a model for WC3 but I was wondering if you make the model, do you give where the hand, head and other points are on the model (as in, you tell the game engine where the hand point is in the model)?

If so, in theory, could you create an armless, model? and map the arm points to the shoulders?

And if that is true, could you make arm models to act as "weapons" and sphere them to the shoulders, thus creating a more dynamic graphic?

Imagine creating equipment that changes on each model in game, like equiping new armor, new helmets, or even mapping points to other areas you would not expect like to the waist and equiping a belt or to the back and equiping a cape or backpack.

Just some ideas.

One of the coolest things I saw someone do was create a "floating disk" and sphering it to the feet. Change the attributes so that unit flys and wham!!!, you got a flying unit that works much like a hyppo and archer combo.

ok, just start learning how to make and edit a war3 model.
I just can say that almost everything is possible with a war3 model, that means ur theory will work, there is no problem with it.

Try to learn MDL editing, its very useful in experimenting with what can be done with war3 model
