How exactly does Shadow Strike damage over time work? It seems to vary how quickly the damage is dealt depending on both casting time and decay power? If I wanted to deal 100 damage every second (100 initial damage) which fields should I then modify? |

Under the ability tab in the unit editor shadow strike Initial Demage - 100 (starting demage) decay power - 3 (each interval i think) Decaying Demage - 100 (demage at each interval) |

How long are the intervals? Is interval 3 equal to 3 seconds interval? |

its 3 seconds, but pay attention to the buff, he strikes at every 1.5 secs (u know the little guy, he strikes him twice before dealing damage)....when u set the interval to 1.5 it really looks like that little guy is kicking the crap out of that unit :) sorry for the bad words (if there is any) and, i'm just talking about buffs and the beauty of the spell....so no need to say (WTF is you talking about, and what little guy) :) |

as every other spell :) it applies damage over intervals for the duration..... so this is the formula for the shadow strike, and i think for the poison too, cuz both work fine with exacttly calculated values for me Total damage = Damage over intervar / (div) duration so if the poison lasts for 10 seconds, and has damage interval of 3 and initial damage of 5 it will deal 5 + 3x10 = 35 .... hope it helps :P) |

Shadow Strike always seem to do damage faster than it should to me, but it may just be my imagination. |

well, do a test then.... set the initial damage to 10, deacying damage to 5, interval to 1 and duration to 5....it should to about 35 damage.... |

Look at cast delay. Here's your interval. :) |
