I have many races in my map I'm making, including gnoll, Night Elf, Human, goblin, and naga done so far. However, I have a major bug that I have NO idea what the problem is. I have a custom town hall for each of these races. Each hall has an attack, which should be range 1300 (so it can hit siege), do certain damage, and have certain missile art. All of which they do NOT have. It has the stats from previous versions. the Tree of Eternity, for example, has no attack animation, and a range of 500. Now then, I checked the custom objects repeatedly and they are exactly to the right specifications. I try changing it again, and I get the same thing. No difference in stats. If it matters, I use a trigger to create a hall for the appropriate race at the start of the game. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG!?!?!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON!!!!!!! emote_sweat emote_sweat :bgrun: 0_o :( ://// :bangH: :knife: :cuss: :whoa2: :hm: :abomHUH?: Someone PLEASE help with this! If I can't edit units my map is screwed, and I've taken a LONG time on it |

A few things I can think of. 1) The acquisition range must be at least the same as the attack range. Or it doesn't work 2) You might have it on attack 2, in which case, you need to activate attack 2 3) Just base it off the Undead town hall. It shoots fine. If none of these work, send me the map, I'll take a look at it. |

none of those work Look, everything's SET UP right. But when I play the map and click on the unit, say, tree of eternity, it says range is FIVE HUNDRED rather than 1300!!! I have no idea why this is. Some of the halls work fine and all, but some I CANNOT CHANGE ANY OF THEIR STATS IT SEEMS. The human and gnoll halls work fine, and they the only ones I didn't set the acquisition range for... they at 0... weird... nm I fixed it on my own. Acquisition WAS messed up I put it on 0 and somehow now it works better |

try to base the town hall on the udeads since it dose attack just increase its range. |

well, try and see the Attack Type - missile melee or whatever and Damage Type - siege, normal blabla.... or try editing their sight radius.... |

If it says "Range = 500" then one of 3 settings is set to 500. Acqusition range Attack Range The range ingame always is the smallest of the 2. ALWAYS make sure the acquisition range is Larger than or equal to the attack range. It sounds like an Acquisition range problem, as 500 is the defualt acquisition range for most units. Site radius is also a problem, and as a rule of thumb I always set the site radius to 100 more than the range. Also note: Number of Dice and Sides on dice can NOTE be set to 0 that will make the unit not attack. If you want a fixed number of damage, then set Dice Sides and Number of Dice both to 1 and set the base damage 1 less than what you want. EDIT: Noticed you fixed problem, desregard my post. EDIT2: Acquisition range = 0 is a BAD idea, it makes units aquire a target ANYWHERE on the map ( 0 = infinate ) which could make the unit ignore a target that is right next to it if it chooses a target that is across the map. |
