Update on HumanDH for Mock1

Mock was suppose to put the a newer version of this skin on his site, but I guess he keeps forgetting. Anyway, before I give him a newest version, I felt I should get a general consensus on which version of his face you guys feel is better.

Version 1 has the better hair, but has a messed up ponytail.
Version 2 has really weird looking hair, but has a normal ponytail.

Feel free to leave other constructive critisism as well.

If you don't think either look good, then I might consider giving him a helm.

i say two with 1's hairline.

I think itd be easier to get a geoset merge instead of trying to skin the h head; the head's pure evil to skin :bgrun:

Personally i like the hair on the second one, looks more natural. And yea the eyes do look strange but still works, if you need help on the eyes ask sansui, he's a expert on DH eyes. :infth:

You should burn some areas of the skin more. But its not bad the way it is now, 8/10

I really don't like the skin, it has no consistancy. It's like you spent 3 hour son the armour, and 3 minutes on the face.

And the chest emblem... well, I wouldn't want to accuse you of anything there.

I've been really busy I think you should improve it more. His face looks like those face hugger things from aliens. I think you should cnp the demonhunter head and start over. Use the details and base of the skin and remake it from there.

You pretty much nailed it, I would say 20 minutes for the face and 2 hours for the chest armor alone.

Yeah the decal on the chest is cut and paste from some website I found, I orginally tried to draw something but I have the worst mouse possible and it makes adding detail insanely impossible. But the decal is pretty much what I wanted; a nice coat of arms.

I guess I will go back and redo the face it does really suck.

I think #2 is all around better. It could use a different face though. Well, at least different eyes.. Although I do understand Demon Hunter eyes are extremely hard to do.

Offtopic: Wow Antihero.. your sig is a 56k nemesis... 2.7MB pic that people have to load when reading every one of your posts. emote_sweat

Err, I never knew it was that big (probably because of the animations)
Should I take it down?

Well depends.. 56k people prolly shouldn't be in an image gallery... But if you post often elsewhere in the forum... well then it might be better to get a smaller one. On my Cable I have no problem with it... but I am thinking for Modem people it could be a large nuisance (3 minute~ loading time for people on modem)

Anyway. Has there been any final verdict on which Human DH will be uploaded? Or is a new version in the works?

Screw the hair, I decided to give him a helm.
I tried to fix the eyes too. They look better, but still look very strange in my opinion.
The only addition I might add is a strap in the back to hold the mask in place.

Meh, just got a nak for it I guess. Metal and hair are the only things I think I skin well.

The biggest error people make is too much dodge and burning. It sucks don't use it for anything other than small things and touchups.
Instead, try to skin metal in a manner similar to this http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...threadid=33808

Its not exactly the way I do it, but it should get you similar results

EDIT: Is the strap in the back a good idea, I don't know how hard that would be to skin onto hair.
Also I was wondering if I should get rid of the ears completely. They seem out of place ot me
