Ack. I don't see the point in tweleve sequential posts just for attachments. Put them in a zip file instead of lots of posts - www.winzip.com - I'll delete this thread after you do so. Also, it would help if you renamed the recordings to something appropriate, e.g. 'orc01'. |

I already tried 1 zip file i also tried rar and ace but i couldnt get anyof the mto upload corectly.... Also i did have them labled but i deleted the first 10 and decided it was faster to name them all the same thing. considering most of the voices are human anyways. Also I downloaded Soundforge and as soon as i get a keycode ill be able to make better tsounding voices. :) Thankyou and have a Nice day. well itried and it says file too big. |

Ok, first up: They're a very huge size due to the kbps. If it's in your sound program, lower it to 22050 (Or whatever it is - I can't remember it off hand), which should be in an option area when you go to File-Save As, I presume. As well, saving them in mp3 format (See my stickied tutorial) would help keep the sizes down a lot too. |

Indeed the mp3 compression is better then *.zip compression since it is specifically tailored to music. That is why mp3s are hardly compressed in a zip. Thus making zip only a way to bundle mp3's. Anyways the settings are 22.5khz 16 bit mono (stereo if you want) |

Much, much better. Good work! :) However, it's a good example of when a re-recording should be performed: as there should be a smaller pause between the words ('you' and 'expect'), as well as full pronounciation for 'to' (It just sounds like 'tu') though I'm certainly guilty of the latter sometimes, due to my area's dialect and an old speech difficulty I had as a kid. |
