you use the letter box to cancel anything that may interupt the cinimatic, and by using triggers and regions you can manipulate people to fight, talk, and do stuff |

Ok... well maybe you should cheak the tutorials section... for modeling you need a program called 3ds max 4, on ebay it runs from 400-600 us dollars, for anything less then 600 you will get a program with no cdkey probally. Skinning you need a program to convert blp, tga, gif and such theres one in tools in the downloads section, and I suggest photoshop to make the skins. As far as maken cinimaticts goes its easy as hell make a camera set it how you want, apply camera object over xx seconds, if you want like some huge battle set the camera's field of veiw up and the Z up a little over your battlefied, create regions where you want the units to spawn, an easy way to make the units fight is, create your event set the conditions you want then for actions make it spawn the units, to make them attack to a point, select unit group actions find the one with the option attack move to (value) set this to what best suits you, lets say you have 2 armys chargeing across a field... have them attack to eachother spawn points... to make the units talk, cinimatic transmission from unit/unit type, for spiffy cinimas use multiple cameras learn how fast you need to pan to them and such. A little practice and your good to go... (avatar thief ;) ) Oh and btw to set an image in your profile, so heres an example... <- not a real url just an example. and no space between the url and |

who cares? He just doesn't understand, i'd rather have stupid questions than a flamer..... Anyway Letterbox mode doesn't disable user control, It takes away the users control panel. Also letterbox mode for me is the same as normal cinematic mode, i never saw a difference. What actually disables the users control panel is a cinematic trigger that is disable/enable user control. You know how if you go Windows->New Palette-> Cameras/Regions If you do that and don't see anytning make sure Windows->Show palette is checked. There are cinematic tutorials in multiple war3 websites, Though if you still need help *after you've looked at wc3campaigns tutorial section, and worldofwar.net tutorials. The war3workshop or whatever, and war3.net or networks i can't remember * then PM me and i'll try to help you. |
