Im trying to create a Hero that can Build things. I've found where in XUnitFunc.txt you specify what a unit can build, and the flag in UnitMetaData.slk that will allow Heros to build, but I've already done alot (alot!) of work just in the Object Editor and I don't know how to blend the 2 approaches. It doesn't look like the Object Editor writes my changes into anything like a *.slk file, but I don't know enough about the way SLK file changes and the WE interact. Any advice or suggestions on how to make a Hero-builder without messing with the SLK files would be much appreicated. |

make a custom spell-book with spells based off mini-town hall and great hall and so on. |

after u do the SLK editing, i think that u must not open the map when u import the file.... are we talking about RoC or TFT ?:)))) cuz, if it's tft, then disregard what i said above..... |

TFT only, I never touched the editor during ROC (why would I starcraft editing was more fun). Thanks for the idea Hunter000, I hadn't thought of that. But with that method the Hero won't really "build" anything just place the item and it will build itself right? They also can't cost gold to build just mana as they will be abilities right? Don't think I'm tearing you down thou, if I can't make a generic build happen then I'll definaly use the spellbbook idea. |

Will I need to include that file in the map archive, Esoteric? Or is making the change enough? |
