950 World of Warcraft Icons

Well, Since I thought this would me more helpful to the mappers here. I am posting this in this forum.

Darky27 from wc3sear.ch has just gotten a hold of 950 icons from World Of Warcraft. This is 950 Blizzard-Quality Icons. I am sure this will be helpful to many mappers out there who are getting tired of the Icons.


This should probably be stickied so people can use these icons... There is an insane amount of icons that could have many uses in Warcraft maps.

If this is in the wrong forum, then could a moderator please move it to the correct one.

damn, could someone zip all these into one file?

I just posted the same thing a bit below this, and I have links to them all zipped into one file.

Actually there is no real reason to have them in a file unless u lose connection to the internet. Any icon you want is easily viewed with his engine. Then you just copy and paste into something like PS and your done.

Hey wow these are great. Nice of blizz to release these early. Saves me the trouble of having to go make my own.

I would love if someone make a mpq file with all of the icons, so I can see them with Image Extractor, and no, there is no reason to sticky this, in fact there is no reason to have any thread stickied besides the faq and the rules

I am thinking that Blizzard did not want to release icons for the game, but that they were somehow leaked instead of released.

This thread should be deleted it is pure warez icons and I know who put them on the web.

This is very obviously gotten from the WoW alpha version that leaked some month ago. And yes, this is to the extent of illegality.

But these icons were posted for download on Battle.Net forums, and BWood even commented sum about it. So unless they Delete (or ban the poster) there, we here will "ignore" it. We will not sticky it, and we won't delete it, we won't either host it in the download section.

If Blizzard makes a comment about this, we will delete all related threads.

The reason is, that this is such a innocent little art, it isn't even models, these are Icons... 64x64 images. So i doubt Blizzard will even bother.

For those wondering if Blizzard wants these icons available or if they are going to do something about it, my sources state that they hadn't intended for them to be released, but aren't very concerned about it, as they plan on changing most of them anyway.
