Guest | Look, I know many people have many ideas for single mpas that they think are great, but have got about 5000000000000 over ideas so they never get around to doing it. If anybody has any ideas, post em here and maybe some talented individual without a decent project will make your idea reality. Some people are talented but just need inspiration. |

Ok how about a blitzball map I've been thinking about making one but I will probably never find the time to do it. If anyone is interested in it we could work together though. If you want to hear my ideas then I'll tell you more later. |

Guest | I think everyones already heard me, but I would either like my NooBie map or my Duelis Aspirations maps done. I have a full outline/algorithm for both if anyones interested (+ the terrain is done for the NooBie map) Basically: The NooBie Summary: 10 contestants, one of them randomly selected as "The NooBie". (it is secret.) The point of the game is to discover who the noob is; the noob will constantly lose and stuff. There are 8 challenges; all really short but very intense and with the opportunity for backstabbing. More backstabbing is introduced as players also compete for "exemptions", things that are out of the way of games that will make them immune from expulsion on that round. The problem is, the priorities. If you set your exemption priorities first, you could easily lose the game. Points: If the game is lost, and NO players write the NooBie's name on the quiz, then the Noobie gains one point. However if the game is lost and the Noobie is guessed, then the players win the point instead. (the points thing is secret to everyone) 3 is needed for the NooBie to win, otherwise it has lost. If the NooBie wins, the Player that wins is only 2nd. This helps the NooBie keep his role of screwing games but still not being blatant about it. There are 8 games, each with tons of exemption opportunities that are really good. IMO the best game is the TowerD, i dont like TowerD's but this one is unique. After each game a 5 question quiz is brought out: 1) Where was the noob from the left during the game briefing? (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 (but after each round you cant pick 10, then 9, etc.) 2) What quadrant was the noob in the waiting area? (topleft, topright, botleft, botright) 3) The leaderboard score of the noob of the following: (a,b,c, etc.) 4) The type the noob played (Off/Def/Ops/Spec) 5) Who the noob is (player 1, 2, etc.) The last game doesnt have an exemption, but a TIEBREAKER point. The tie breaker point is in the event that both players are tied. The one with the TIEBREAK point will decide the winner of the 2 players. The last quiz has 5 questions all the same: Who is the noob? ******************************************* Duelist Aspirations SUMMARY: This game is very simple. Basically its this weird card game reminiscent of Yugioh. In the card game there are 4 elements (firewaterwindearth) + a secret element (void) that is very hard to use (its not just a one all be all thing). There are also 5 unique pieces to collect in the dueling universe hidden. They have special powers during a duel but can only be used if you play the unique card associated with it (ie. if you have the earth piece which is a belt, you have to play the (restricted) (restricted = only 1 alowed in deck) card "Earth Gamma Powerup" to use the power, gaining life, and empowering earth monsters. The powerups are: earth: pumps up def. of all earth monsters; enhances player life. wind: pumps up def. of all wind monsters; allows you to see 1st card of opp. hand. fire: pumps up off. of all fire monsters; adds extra monster slot (now 5) water: pumps up off. of all water monsters; adds extra hand slot (now 5) void (secret): allows you to play Void monsters (Super unstable rare monsters that need foundations and tributes.) The card game is the meat of the game. You can buy different types of boosters and starter packs to get cards. Cards are represented as units and go into your (huge) vault. You can have 20 cards in your deck and 5 in your side deck. When you are not in your vault, you can still change your deck, but only with your side deck. You win battles and enter and win tournaments to become the ultimate Duelist. The card game requires lots of strategy in playing the cards, but also in setting up your deck with what available things you have, and also budgeting your money (buying packs? which packs? what about larger packs? buying indiv. cards?) Based on my true experiences playing TCG's competetively, this shows a glimpse of what TCG playing FOR playing (not for collecting) is really like. |

i think it would be cool to make an RPG involving the use of cards and with real-time battles. If you've played "Lost Kingdoms" for GameCube my idea is a lot like that. When you go into battle, you cannot attack the enemies directly. Instead you use cards which create monsters, deal damage, or have other effects. Your heroes inventory lists your current cards and some cards have multiple uses. When one is used up another is drawn to take its place. You could make it multiplayer too I guess. It might turn out fun. |
