I'm sure this has been touched on before, prob. a few times actually but I can't seem to figure out how. You gotta edit a wc3 file or something? I found in gameplay constants how to set max hero level and i set it to 50 (which i want for my map), but how do i design abilities past level 3 (up to say 12-15). I want to be able to edit each level for the spells. Thanks guys. -Huh |

Find the ability in the object editor; there's a line called "Levels" which you can change. |

Hahahahaahah, SO SIMPLE. I must've glanced past that line 100 times without bothering to see what it does :P. Thanks alkafizz. -Huh |

what level u plan on make skills go to? |

Not TOO high. I'm going to have my heros cap out at level 50. They will have 3 "normal" abilities, 2 "ultimates" and 1 "attribute bonus ability". The 3 normals and the attribute bonus will have 10 levels each, while the 2 ultimates will have 5 levels each. I've ALMOST finished my first hero and let me tell you, getting a hero set JUST right, with all custom skills, positioning the spell buttons, balancing the skills, etc is PAINSTAKING lol. Almost 1 down, 23 to go :P -Huh |

Huh, you gave your hero 6 hero abilities? Isn't that supposed to be a problem? I know heroes in my map wouldn't accept more than 5 abilities... |

Some people have devolped ADVANCED triggers enabling you to go up to 14 hero abilities but it is COMPLICATED and i could not get it to work but its around somewhere. But without advanced triggers you cannot go past 5 abilities. |

You could make two abilities that take the hero and morph him into the ESACT same hero, but with the second set of abilitites, the second morph would turn him into another form with ANOTHER whole set of abilities, and the final form would have a morph to go back to the first, this would let you have... 15 normal abilities |

Well, heres another idea that my brother, Starsunder, came up with for one of his maps. You use an ability that works like a Spellbook item, so when you click on the ability, it opens up a seperate box that lists the various abilities that you want there to be... although this will only work in certain situations. But when it can be put into effect, its quite useful. If your interested in hearing more on this, PM me, or Starsunder. |

You are correct! I realized this shortly after attempting to add all the abilities to the same hero. Soo, I settled for 3 normal abilities with 10 levels each, 1 ultimate with 5 levels, and an attribute bonus with 15 levels... |

So then Huh, I take it we've all successfully solved your problems? If so, I declare this CLOSED... o wait.. that isn't my job is it?... o well =D |
