How do I get fog to show only in a specific region? Also when I enter the amount of density for fog it has no effect, so it seems. |

If you are talking about terrain fog (the thing that you can set in map preferences), you cannot have it for a specific region only. As far as altering the desity, I have found the same problem, it has no effect. If you want to make the fog thicker, make the space between the starting and ending Z smaller (like 0 and 2000 would make fog that would be pretty difficult to see through). Correct me, someone, if I am wrong about the fog in a region. |

We are doing just this. But it doesn't work like that. The following solution works only if you are doing a RPG/sumtin-where-the-player-controls-only-1-unit. Basicly, it changes the fog for each player specifically, it creates no de-sync if done right. DaKaN submitted the system we're using to the Trigger/Utility area: It's here It even includes a "smooooth" change into the new fog, it's awesome, so you're walking from a dark forest into a sunny valley, and it smoothly changes from dark fog to a bright fog (whatever you choose) Cubasis |
