I know that this is 100%, absolutely possible. I have tried everything I know of to get this to work. And yet it's rather embaressing to have to come here to ask this pitiful question of whomever will answer: How do you get the mana cost of an ability used by an item to show on the item? AoS - Eternal Conflict (a map I look up to) got this to happen, why can't I? I've given the ability a mana cost, first off, and it didn't show. I've switched the ability back and forth from item to unit, tested (to no avail), and back. Still didn't show a mana cost. I've put the ability first in the list of abilities the item contains (which I've figured out causes the item to have that visible cooldown effect), and it didn't show. Is there no easy way to do this? I cannot figure it out! Keep in mind this before helping me: - The Items Ability DOES have a mana cost (of 75) - The Items Ability was based off of the Item Version of Anti-Magic shell (to make it automatically be cast on the user) - The Items Ability IS on the item - The Item DOES have "actively used" checked to a yes - The Items Ability is set to be classified as an "Item" ability (changing to unit does absolutely nothing, I've tried) Please help. This HAS to be simple. Something I've glanced over and missed stupidly. Again, sorry for wasting your time. Any help would and will be appreciated though, thanks! |

Well, I gave it a mana cost - but it doesn't show. Note that it DOES drain mana, though, when the item is used. Quote:
Yes, of course it is. I'll test it with another skill, maybe the item version of Anti-Magic Shield is just not going to work. |

Take a normal ability, modify its manacost, turn it to an item ability. Problem should have solved. |
