As an avid fan of the Warcraft series, i couldn't help but wonder, where did the rest of the orcs go? Three clans (Bleeding Hollow, Shattered Hand, and Warsong) made it through the portal before Draenor exploded, and the Warsong clan, as we already know, joined the Frostwolf and became part of Thrall's new horde. The other two were captured and placed in internment camps. But while the undead are sacking Lordaeron, do you really think there would be enough soldiers paying attention to the orc prisoners? it is plausible that when the undead killed the humans of Lordaeron, they also slaughtered the orcs, but this would be rather disapointing, so I like to think not. Krillog Deadeye has been through so much that it would be a shame to kill him off like that, and Korgath Bladefist... well, his name is really cool. This could make a fairly good subject for a campaign. Reply if youre interested |

I agree. This is very interesting point. Perhaps I may even do that as another campaign once my current one is completed. Edit: But I read the RoC manual and I thought it said Thrall freed all the Orcs from internment. Don't know what happened to Kilrogg and whoever, but I think they died in Tides of Darkness. |

Ok, I'll do a break down of all the clans and their status. And this time I'll save it as a text file for once. :P It's due to interpretation, but I really think it's clear if you look at a few facts, novels and screenshots. WC2 clans: Blackrock: Greatly reduced due to Second War, loss of Doomhammer, demonic corruption, (Presuming that when he went away as a hermit no one really took his place) and major assault by the Scourge in ROC campaign. Practically ruined now. Stormreaver: Destroyed in civil war in WC2. Twilight Hammer: Destroyed in civil war in WC2. Dragonmaw: Destroyed after WC2 - see 'Day of the Dragon'. Black Tooth Grin: Destroyed\placed in internment camps. Rend and Maim and some remnants somehow made it to Draenor (See Human TFT campaign - "Lord of Outland"). I'm presuming they retreated their like the Bleeding Hollow once did. Bleeding Hollow: Unsure. Kilrogg is seen in a screenshot for Lord of the Clans in a meeting with Thrall and the other chieftains, but is surely dead or extremely old by now. I'm presuming they rejoined the Horde, but Kilrogg Deadeye is dead or retired. Burning Blade: Destroyed at end of WC2 by Alliance forces, but remnants are now the Blademasters who currently serve the Horde. WC2 Expansion: Shadow Moon: Probably died in the destruction of Draenor, or the few who fled with Ner'zhul were captured by demons in the Twisting Nether. Warsong: Joined Thrall's Horde, lost their chieftain and a few forces in the civil war due to their brief corruption, but are probably back to normal or reintegrated into the normal Horde. Shattered Hand: Korgath Bladefist and some SH orcs were seen in Lord of the Clans screenshots. Presumably joined Thrall's Horde. Bone Chewer: Destroyed by Shadow Moon forces in Orc campaign, WC2 Exp. Survivors probably died in the destruction of Draenor. Thunderlord: Destroyed by Shadow Moon forces in Orc campaign, WC2 Exp. Survivors probably died in the destruction of Draenor. Laughing Skull: Destroyed by Shadow Moon forces in Orc campaign (Including their chieftain), WC2 Exp. Survivors probably died in the destruction of Draenor. Frost Wolves: (Durotan's clan) Joined Thrall's Horde. Now in Kalimdor. They were not mentioned in ROC at all, but they were there at the end of Lord of the Clans. Plus, Drek'thar, Thrall's shamanistic mentor, is in the Orc TFT campaign. Note: 'Rejoined Thrall's Horde' means they're in Kalimdor in Durotar. One last thing- according to a WOW FAQ, Thrall has now disbanded the clan system altogether, but this hasn't stopped fans creating their own (Though the Shining Talon, my creation, and Death's Head, Rommel's creation, are in campaigns long before WC3). |

I knew about the status of most of the clans by the end of warcraft 3, and as for Rend and Maim, I assumed they went back to Draenor with the bleeding hollow clan after warcraft 2. Personally, I think it would be cool to see a ninety-five year old Krillog running into battle with a giant axe, so I like to think he's still alive |

How about this then?: KIllrog is held in a internment camp in lorderon, there he meets a young orc named ----, deadeye tells him about "The old days" and such(this is still before wc3). When thrall frees the orcs, ---- joins the new horde, but when thrall sails to kalimdor, ----- thinks its cowardly, so he remains in lorderan. There, he and killrogg lives in the woods, until a band of merciless humans finds them, and slays killrogg, he goes berserk and kills them. He finds their captain and ask him who the leader is, Its a certain General Kanga. Since ----- got some of mannorths blod, ut never really heard a warlock spoken about demons, but heard thrall speak about honor and the way of the shaman, he got a great strength and honorable ways (I'm not sure this works, but oh well...). So decides to visit lord Kanga in his encampment, but ón his way there, he sees a blackrock village that is under attack by the humans, so he decides to help them, mostly because of his hatred for the humans. When the humans is ls slain, the leader of the blackrock orcs and some of his warriors decides to join him in his quest. But when they approaches the humans, ----- is having a dream of killrogg telling him it is foolish and so on... So then he and his warriors instead leaves for kalimdor, with all the trouble to find a boat and so on.... Ok not so much killrogg as you might have wanted but it could work as a basic plot if you wanted, I just dont like the idea of having such an old orc fighting... |

Just to clarify: Any clan that was: -Not in Draenor (since they'd be dead, most likely). -Not overly corrupted (Blackrock) or majorly destroyed (Dragonmaw, Stormreaver, Twilight Hammer) ...made it into Thrall's Horde. I know the maps gave the impression it was just the Warsong and Thrall's orcs (Frost Wolves + those from the internment camp), but it's surely likely that the remaining 'decent' clans rejoined. Otherwise it's quite a small Horde. :-P As for Killrogg... He didn't look *that* old in Lord of the Clans. But perhaps we're getting the idea of an 'old' orc wrong - not 90 something. Perhaps 40 is a respectable age for an orc warrior, given that they're constantly fighting and it's tough to last that long. So by WC3 he would be around 55 which isn't that far fetched. Like Uther. I'd imagine him as an advisor of sorts now, maybe a military planner. |

ninety was an exageration, but Krillog was described as the aged chieftan of the bleeding hollow clan back in warcraft 1, which means he'd probably be around 40. Roughly 30 years pass between wc1 and wc3, so I'd say he's about in his 70s. As for the idea with ------, it could probably work. The only thing is, I don't think an orc who has been demonically bloodlusted would be very into upholding the honor of the horde. Good idea though |

Wuh.... And I thought the Orc situation was confusing when I first player warcraft III.... btw, is there anything in Warcraft II about Gul'Dan (i played II, but dont have it anymore, so I can't check). Like when he went to raise the Broken Isles to get the power of Sargarus (or whatever hes called), and how he found out about this power in the first place. And how the heck did he get the power to raise the Isles? (Quote : "There are few powers left in the world that are great enough to raise islands from the deeps" - Maiev) If any of this was in the WII expansion, then I missed that (didn't complete it) |

Gul'dan probably got the power to raise the islands from Kil'jaedan the demon, who taught him warlock magic. However, he was killed in warcraft 2 when Doomhammer destroyed his clan. (If you remember, there was a level near the end of the orc campaign in warcraft 2 in which you are orcs and you fight two other teams of orcs (blue and purple)) Gul'dan's skull, however is a powerful magical artifact. Warcraft 2 Expansion, by the way, dealt with the other clans that remained on Draenor, and their attempt to escape to a different world. First they invaded Azeroth to get some artifacts to help them create portals. However, the humans thought they were planning to invade Azeroth again, so they went through the portal to Draenor and tried to destroy the orcs. Ner'Zhul, who was the leader of the orcs on Draenor, went through his new portals with his clan and left the rest of the orcs behind. Three orc clans, including the Warsong Clan, led by Grom Hellscream, managed to make it back to Azeroth before Draenor exploded (from having too many portals open at one time.) Then Ner'Zhul was found by Kil'jaeden and turned into the lich king. |
