Well... you know Wacom brand is the best. When you get a tablet... get a large one... the 8.5x11 if you can... and make sure that you practice alot with it... it's not like using a pen...it's different. I have an Intuos2 4x5... it works for what I do with it... mainly some minimal shading... but you have to practice alot to get good enough with it to do stuff like Leppy's awesome stuff. icbm1987 p.s. there is a reason Butt ended on my ignore list... I can't undo that tho. |

No problem Erwtie!!! It is nice not to have to look at mindless drivel... and I shouldn't have to stress my mind just to translate it... and I don't but then again I can't really remove him from my ignore list. icbm1987 |

not everyone in the US is rich you know... i think too many sterotypes have been born about americans... especially since Bush came into the office. Im a republican, but i still hate Bush. He has no concern for the government, is in bed with big buisness, and put us into a war when we didnt (and we still dont) know where the object of our first "operation," O'sama Bin Laden (do i have the accents and the spacing right?) is. Stupid Bush...:nono: |

I just got my WACOM Intuos2 6x8 in the mail this afternoon - my first tablet purchase ever, and I've been busy with homework so I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I imagine I will get a bit of time to tomorrow. 6x8 is a pretty good size, and I doubt you'd really need larger, but I don't know if WACOM has an 8.5x11 size - I think the next one up is 9x12, then 12x12. I wouldn't go any larger than 9x12, as that'd take up a damn lot of room on your desk. =) 6x8 seems just perfect to me (the actual drawing size is 6x8 - there are a couple of extra inches of material on the sides, about 1 on top, and maybe 1.5 on the bottom, for your hand to rest on I suppose). 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity as you've no doubt found out by now. A lot of people get the Graphire, a more affordable version with the only difference that it has like half the sensitivity I think. My Intuos2 cost $250, $260 after shipping. I'm dying to use it, but there's still more work to be done. =\ Damn printmaking class! *picks splinters out of her fingers* |
