I am starting work (or continuing work...) on an RPG. It will be a singleplayer (mostly) open RPG. It will feature a main quest, a few large quests, and many side quests (I.E. Blacksmith wants you to fetch rare ore from mine X). I am still deciding on a name and some elements of the story are still in my mind. I am trying to hammer out an interesting story that hasn't been cliched countless times. This will be a "horror" type RPG, meaning that it will be based on fear. Werewolves, skeletons, zombies, mummies, vampires, bone dragons, liches, if its scary it will (should) be in here. Features: -BG-style EXP system (Experience will be stored in a variable) -BG-style stats (Charisma, Intelligence...) -Perks every 3 (number may change) levels -Orc campaigns-style map transition -Completely new spell system, you won't ever level up those hero abilities again -Many new models and skins -Good story -Innovative uses of doodads (big yell goes out to Beam here) -Beautifully detailed terrain -No ugly blizzard cliffs (unless I use them as walls of a building) -Many new icons -Many custom items I will also include easter eggs and references to the real world (Such as the tyrannical dictator Beorge Gush). A new horror story huh? That'll be a hard one... Hehe, maybe like, you were transported by some rift or somthing that teleported you to a world ruled by undead or something like that. Or uh... You are an Ex-member of the undead leagion seeking to destroy it's ways (good or bad I guess) or, same thing except that you have a small troop of undead who followed you, and the undead look at you as a threat that would lead to a revolt, so they're trying to dispose of you (bacause you were some high rank in their military, known as a genius in warfare, or something) so they're trying to kill you before you can get a large enough army to destroy them, except you don't have to destroy them, they just think you will... just a few ideas, they might be original, not sure... well, tell me if you like any of em, no charge :P |
