Here's my first decent drawing(weeee), I used the circle method and didnt use any reference pic. I think it has worked well so far. I still have to learn on how to ink it correctly because when I did this one, the lineart was not thin enough and I had to use the erase tool to thin it... The face was too sucky once inked so I had to make in in photoshop by hand(damn long). I read one of the "How to draw manga (female)" book and realised a lot of porportion issue I had before. I didnt do the background tho(google search...). NOTE: Yes I know she is naked but umm... I have to practice a bit with nude before trying to had clothes(not that i am complaining;) ). EDIT: lol im posting this just in time with the new issue of sport illustrated. Anyway, tell me what I should fix:) |

very nice... i like the coloring job. :D but my crits are that the hair looks funky (the bangs are weird) and her left (our right) arm sort of dissapears.... but i wouldnt recommend trying to draw manga right from the start... the how to draw manga books wont help much in terms of furthering your art skills (except for occasionally copying some anime pics). once you have a good understanding of anatamy and life drawing, more unique styles like manga come much easier. ;) |

that's decent... not good... the left leg looks kinda weird where it connects with the rest of the body. and the head and hair are not that great either... icbm1987 |

hes face looks kinda funny thought this might help a little im not saying im awsome but it could help someone............. |

When you try to help someone, its more helpful to give an example that is in your opinion "correct" rather than something that has "wrong" pieces |

I put lot of effort in the face expression of my second pic(which I removed because I found too many flaw(sp?)). the problem is with the face shape, I cant make it look adult, its always too round or too thin... I wont ink the pic next time and will try to raise resolution instend. I will have some cleanup job to do tho. umm How do you draw a arm fully extended and facing the "camera"? im having lot of trouble with the perpective and its make the arm look extremly short instend. |
