This is my almost finished centaur knight. It was all free handed, save the horse (which was CnP from the knight). I was planning on alphing out the antlers, but the program I use (a VERY old version of PSP) can't alpha, so I had to work with all the the skin, even the black parts. The only unfinished parts are the hands, alphaing the antlers, and anything else you guys say I could improve. Tell me what you think. Oh, could someone that can alpha do me a BIG favor. PM me if you can alpha out the antlers for me. I'll give you some credit for the skin (and maybe 25 points if you want). I may put this for download if I get good feedback, and get all the bad parts fixed. 0_o The spear isn't part of the skin. Its just what I plan to put on him if I use the skin. Edit: Oh whoops, I didnt put this in the skin gallery. Could a mod or admin move it? Edit Edit: Thanks for moving it, whitehorn. Scroll Down to see the Pic, Im reposting it (not as a new thread). |

Idea is cool, I tried something similar before, however: 1) Cant see pic - attach, dont link to your PC 2) Post in gallery |

If you attach it, you don't have to link it. Just browse your PC and choose the file down where it says "Attach file" and then submit your post. I don't believe you can add a pic to a post that doesn't have one already attached (via editing), so you have to make another reply to add it. For reference, you probably can alpha things out in your old PSP, but I'm not 100% certain. Is there a lasso tool that lets you manually select areas? If so, have you tried selecting the horns and just hitting the delete key? That's how I alpha - I don't mess with the alpha channels at all. |

Ok sorry for the inconvenience. Here it is. |

Do you think you could take some closer shots? A three-quarters angle would be nice. |

Sure, Here they are. :infth: |

its not blurry at all for me. did you load it all the way? Quote:
Yes there's a lasso. But, all that does is make the spot white. Wouldnt it just be white ingame? emote_confused |

Give it a try and find out. =) Normally the deleted area looks either white or black (in .blp format) for me, too, but is correctly alpha'd in WE and in-game. |

i tried, but it just turned white ingame. hmm... maybe you could do it for me. could you? you'd have to wait until this thread dies down so i could improve it with the suggestions and i still have to do the gloves too. i'd give you 25 (maybe more) points if you did. |

Hmm, I could give it a shot, but my WC3 isn't installed anymore so I couldn't see if I did it right in WE (that's how I view my skins while I'm working on them). Also, his horns are REALLY hard to alpha out without taking chunks out of his back - best to leave it to someone who can check their progress. =) Sorry! |

ok, thanks anyway. If all else fails i'll just try to make them into something, like my attempted winged helmet you see in the pic. but they are SO big. |

issit recolor? looks like it.... but looks cool man, if u need help in mdl editing just tell me... like if u wan me to geoset merge some captain's head... btw when u cant alpha out, it means that the filtermode for dat mesh is None, change that to Transparent in mdl... PM me if u dunno how |

er... no, the only part that is recolor is the face, which i changed from purple to a peachish. the only c&p is the horse. the rest it freehanded. well, i dont want a completely seperate model. i just need it alphaed. in case you didnt know its the kotg model. |
