I based an ability off of barrage an dnamesd it "Rocket Barrage", set the tech requirements to none, and changed theTargets to "Enemy, Ground". I gave it to a unit, (same model as alternate steam tank aswell), and it wont use it- it only uses its regular attack. I dont have clue what the ****'s going on, and why it wont target anything. Thanks in advanced. |

Go to your custom Barrage ability, and open up the Art - Missile Art section. Here's the thing with barrage: every missile art you add there adds one extra attack for the unit. A bit odd, eh? But yeah - try putting like three random entries in that field. Next, set Data - Maximum Number of Targets to 1... and finally, go to the unit that has the ability, and change its Maximum Number of Targets field to 1 as well. That should get Barrage working properly :) (I have it working in my map, using the exact same settings as above... so I'm not just blowing air here, hehe) P.S. If you made use of the search function, you'd find that people have already asked this question a whole bunch of times :). If the above doesn't work for you, ya might wanna read other people's directions. |

Ah thanks. I normally search for stuff, but It must have slipped my mind this time, sorry. Thanks for the info Also, does the unit need an attack? I basically want its attack to be the rocket barrage. Thanks for assisting an Object Editor n00b. |

Not a problem :) If you set the values to the way I described above, then Barrage should end up doing damage equal to the unit's normal attack - meaning yes, you would need to give the unit an attack for this to work :). Also, it might also be good to note that you may want to edit the Data - Damage Per Target field of your Barrage ability to be 1.00... I can't remember off the top of my head exactly how Barrage works (hence why I said search it out; it's one of the few oddly-behaving abilities left in TFT :)), but I think that extra damage gets applied on top of your normal damage. |
