Please help me on skins

Can you help me on skinning??? I have Paint Shop Pro 8.0...I don't know how to skin...anyone help me?? Like tell me how to skin? (Oh and my paint shop pro is a trial version) I don't know where there are tutorials for skinning but with paint shop pro 8.0 trial, all of them are just with photoshop T__T

draw lighter to darker colors then smudge, or use burn and dodge... either way or both wats work good
