I rarely post stuff here, but when I do...

it's basically a remake of the ROTD wallpaper I had worked on previously. It isn't really finished yet, I still need to mess around with the new Nerubian City.

if you don't believe I do paint my stuff pixel by pixel, well here is an animation showing how I painted my tower

enjoy!

I think he just means "freehand," rather than copy/pasting, repeating parts, taking from other pictures, etc. ;P

well it is still pixel by pixel stuff :)

1 px brush, 1600% zoomed ;)

I assume you click and drag the brush though, instead of putting a 1-pixel dot on there then picking a new colour and putting a new dot on? =P I often use 1 pixel brushes for detail as well, though I might recommend you use larger brushes to lay down the colours first... =x Might save you... a few hours. -_-

well it's dodge and burn tool, not airbrush :)

Ah. >.< Not a big fan of dodge/burn; it's much more interesting to hand-pick the colours, unless you're going for a monochromatic scene of course, which is sort of wot your wallpaper is. =)

well I tend to always go for black and white, and then add color on top of it (like you can see on the Tower animation, added colour to the orb at the end)

my favourite way of working, not that it's the best, but it's the one I prefer.

as I said...

DaemonKillar=Krazy!!!

one pixel at a time is deadly... very deadly.
