Problem with IRC

If i try to connect to irc.wc3campaigns.com with MIRC it keeps saying connection refused.

If i try Trillian's IRC client it says Connection Failed.

Anyone have any suggestions on what i'm doing wrong?

Hmm, never been on it before so i doubt i'm banned, but on a college network though..

try mirc. if that dosent work, increse the range of ports it scand to enter.

The problem is probably that you're on a college network (because of a router). Sometimes routers can screw up connections that need a specific port. Try changing the port that mIRC is using to connect.

Also, it could be that firewall software is blocking your connection. It could be the router, in which case you can't be much unless you're an admin, or it could be local firewall software. If you've got a firewall on your computer, try messing about with its settings.

I still can't get into IRC.WC3CAMPAIGNS.COM... MIRC keeps saying Connection Refused. Any mod able to see if my IP is being blocked for some reason? Dont' see why it would be, i've never been on it before nor use IRC for much of anything.

firewall? router? open the ports irc uses on your router if u have one.
