Minimap for the map preview? or for the ingame minimap? either way... it's basically the same Preview: 1. Make a 128x128 .tga file of what you want it to look like 2. Save and import 3. Change the path to war3mappreview.tga InGame: 1. Make a 128x128 .tga file of what you want it to look like 2. Save and import 3. Change the path to war3mapMap.tga |

You are all wrong I can't believe such a easy task is incorrect to all of you. Now HERES HOW YOU REALLY DO IT! If your using Warcraft III (Not frozen throne) 1. Download WinMPQ and open up your map using it. 2. Import a .tga 128x128 pixles/256x256 pixles using WinMPQ into your map. 3. Rename the path which you just imported the image (so no wc3Imported stuff) to War3MapPreivew.tga 4. There all done test the map you will see the image! If your using Warcraft III TFT... 1. Open your map with World Editor and go to Import Manager. 2. Import your .blp or .tga (I recommend .blp it's smaller) using the import manager, the image MUST be precisely 256x256 or 128x128 pixles. 3. Modify the path (double click on the image) - rename it as War3MapPreview.tga/.blp [use custom path enabled] 4. There all done save the map and test it! This is how you insert a custom preview image to your map not loading screen. Still not working? Try W3M Map Utilities, its easier and will insert the preview image for you without setting paths, importing etc... Private message me, I got a custom preview image on my map and it shows up, not to you? Just private message me. I cant believe you guys are so wrong what a disgrace... |

Make sure you save your TGA in 32-bit. |
