Im sick of the Old windows sound recorder, it records crap, its not the microphone it just sound like ur in airoplane ,u know?, and everything is muffled and quiet.

i was wondering if there were some real good sound recorders out there anyone knows off which have good quality, like the voice acting in wc3 campaings, it sounds as if they are in the same room. not in a plane.

Windows' Sound Recorder only goes so far - it's a VERY basic recording application.
Check out my sound recording tutorial. It's a good start for recording.

Seondly, the sound recorder isn't a huge factor - the most important are your microphone (for receiving your voice) and soundcard (For converting and processing it). The higher quality either is the better.

For microphone's, there are crap cheap ones, decent cheap ones
(Cheap = $10 or so) and great, expensive ones ($100 - see the article). I'm unsure how to tell - without actually using - the difference between the crap and decent cheap mic's: my only advice is to buy one and test it out.
