Im making a map that is based on a shape, and i want it to be very exact, so i made a grid over the picture, and i would like to make the grid in the world editor match my grid, instead of having to work with like 3 1/5 yellow grids = 1 of my grids... anyway if anyone knows how i could go about changeing this i would apreciate it very much, if not ill live. |

you can try changing the size of the grids in world editor by toggling 'G' or go to menu, View -> grids -> size(ex Large) |

I once made a circular region inside of a square map by raising the terrain on the outside of the circle -- I'll assume you're doing something similiar. In my case, I opened up my graphic editor, drew a circle (with no typing of blending -- just a black circle on a white canvas), and zoomed in all the way to see those black and white pixels. The WE grid isn't really of any use because the placement of the terrain brush occurs at the intersection of the medium-sized grid spacings, so you kind of need to just count and keep track of what pixel you just did and where the next one is to place. Using Advanced > View Entire Map to get a flat overview, and zooming in a respectable amount, will help you to see the map and envision the correspnding pixels a bit better. |
