I cant do it. I want to create an ability/upgrade to make you double you gold production. I have found which abilitys to modify to double the Humans, Orc, and Night Elfs gold production but I cant seem to find which ability controls the the amount of gold the Undead take in per interval. Do you know? IT IS NOT, I REPEAT, IT IS NOT EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING I TRIED: Harvest (Gold and Lumber) under Special > Units Gather (Acolyte Gold) under Undead > Units Lastly, the ability "Blighted Gold Mine Ability" cannot be found anywhere. Check it out for yourself: Look at the abilities of the Haunted Gold Mine it clearly lists "Blighted Gold Mine Ability" as one of its abilities. If you can find this, I will call you a genius. Because I believe that is the the answer to my question. If i find that ability i can double the Undead's gold income. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR... |

Please refrain from double-posting, use the edit button. And mocking people will get you nowhere. Maybe the answer is just that you're right and nobody can help you -- or maybe just nobody wants to after your last comment. |

I believe that the ability you are searching for was made inaccessible by Blizzard. |

You could try making the acoyle obtain gold through another method; the night elf one would probably look best for that.. |

I thought of the Entangled Gold Mine ability, but that would make the Acolytes go inside of the gold and that wouldn't really look right... The Wisps appear on the Entangled Gold Mine model as stand animations hard-coded into, so you wouldn't see the Acolytes... |

Get a special skin for it, maybe. |

You would need a custom model, actually. But it would work, although it would be better if Blizzard just released the Blighted Gold Mine ability... |

i think i saw it in the gameplay constants, gold mine- base time buffer or something like this |

That's for all gold mines, and doesn't effect the Undead in particular. |

You could use a research that changes the unit completly like the Beserk upgrade for the Orcs and cause it to change the Acolytes into "New Acolytes" and change their gold carry value to 20 instead of 10 I dont remember if that upgrade exists but i think thats how you get Beserkers but i might be wrong cause i dont play orc much. |

The blighted goldmine ability may not be accesable by the normal methods most people work by, but back in the day everything had to be done via .slk edit (that is why there is a forum for that stuff) and right in the abilitydata.slk there is the ability blighted gold mine (Abgm) that has the gold per interval just sitting there waiting to be changed. Attached is the latest version I have of the abilitydata.slk, it can be opened via microsoft excel, or W3M Map Utilites (tools section) has a .slk editor. The ability is located on line 176, and the gold per interval is in column W. The only downside to all of this is you might have to release a new version of you map with every patch, or else certain abilities might not work. It all depends. Have fun. |
