Is there any way to give a melee unit a ranged attack by picking up an item.

IE. A Paladin picks up a crossbow (i now want him to shoot arrow)

ive been trying and trying but cant do it

are there any ideas out there

make it a metamorphosis based spell and let the unit change into the ranged palidin with the crossbow. (a crossbow????)

Give the Paladin a second attack with all the same stats, but make it ranged. Then make the bow and arrow like an orb, and make in enable attack 2 and disable attack 1.

Simple, no?

I think it could work if u replace the unit with a new one ex. when the unit picks the item it changes to an unit with an ranged attack.

PS. im not sure how to make it that the replaced unit (ranged i mean) have the same level, but im sure it can be done somehow :lch:
