Creating virtual paths for imported images.

I want to make a custom load screen for each player depending on the race chosen by each player. However, there are parts of each screen that are identical, and I would like to create virtual paths to these files (ie. shortcuts or aliases), rather than packing copies of the same file into different paths (thereby making the map 5x bigger).

How, if possible, can I do this please?
