How about more Forums

I'm not talking about off-topic forums but an official forum for fanfic. I know there are at least 5 of the members and probably some guests who like Fanfics. I'm excluding my self from the above statement. There should be more variety in the forums appart of tutorials and Team gatherings. There are some people also getting bored of having to wait for answers to their threads. Then why not create other Forums with other subjects, not just mapping.

The stated reason by the admin, for why forums like WC3 Discussion were removed, is because this is a WC3 *campaign* forum. So I doubt anymore will be created - there are plenty as it is anyway.
There are other sites and forums, at least as an alternative.

Even though it is a modding site, people would still like to browse around on the forum while waiting for answers. Just like I do as example. Most of the time I have enough threads to look for the day but still.
I understand that it is all about modding, but some small changed might be made. And of course, you can always go to a diffrent forum to talk about other things, but this forum has perhaps some people some would like. As example, I like quite a lot of people on this forum. Not all of them (or any at all) are at an other forum I am hanging out as well.

To be honest, I was thinking about the same thing until I saw this thread.

Agreed, the forums are allready very spread out.

Theres Map Development, Artist Descussion....

A bunch of forums that are essentialy the same.

But I want a WC3 General Disscusion Forum back, I mean we have an Off topic forum.

We don't need any more forums. This site is cluttered enough as it is and we're trying to clean it up with the new vb3 upgrade. Also, you can talk about wc3 in off topic.

I already see some on the two sides! I'm also divided by reasons for each as each of the propositions have its advantages and disadvantages. This site is about map making: yes. People like to browse and chat: yes (that makes it 1:1). There is already the off topic: yes. Friends do not frequent the same forums apart of wc3c: yes (which makes it 2:2). What other reasons are there? Go find your friends and vote for the Poll! I wanna see the final results(or at least I wanna see 300 votes in two months :). Is it possible?) Anyway I have another reason that would make “No more forums� side win. The reason is : People will spend too much time on other threads that than on their map-modding. But those who are on the “Some more Forums� side, just don't abandon! There are plenty more reasons. JUST THINK!

As a moderator, I move 1-2 posts a day because they are in the wrong forum.

No matter what we do, there will always be those who cant read the 'READ ME BEFORE POSTING' topics, those who cant click on the tutorials button, and those that post requests in every forum other than the request forum.

Less forums would be nice, but I like relevant forums.

I actually look at these forums as On-Topic forums, which is about Modding the Blizzard game WC3Campaigns. I can read this all from it's name. Man i'm good.

Nah, seriously, we have enough of times been close enough to removing even Off-Topic... as there are people who come to these forums just to use off-topic... I mean, People who don't post in any other forum, just hang out there.... :/

WHY!?!? there are tons of Discussion Forums on the net, and i do realize that you may have bonded with people here...but.... blah.

Anyhow, I reccomend you people to check out wowlands.com, our sister-site, It has all kinds of off-topic forums, including FanFiction. There are also tons of people there from these forums.

And... if you want to hang out while waiting for someone to answer your threads, you can join our IRC channel, alot of people hang out there chatting.
