Storm Crows

I need to create multiple copies of a unit that I want to use the Storm Crow model. I know that the Storm Crow is part of the Druid of the Talon model, but how do I get it to stay in Storm Crow form with out casting an ability? I tried putting in alternateex and alternate into their proper areas, but all it did was make the unit alternate between Storm Crow and Druid in the editor. In game it was always a flying Druid... Any help will be greatly appreciated!

And what do you perceive to be those "proper" areas? You could use triggers to give him the ability, use it, and take it away -- might work.

Update: Use "alternate" for the "Art - Required Animation Names" and "Art - Required Bone Names" fields.

I made it off the Druid of the Talon (Storm Crow Form) unit Blizzard put in the game. That one appears and works properly, but the new unit doesn't... I'd prefer doing it without triggers, but I will if necessary. Thanks for the advice!

Huh
I had that same problem when I tried to make a unit based from a DotT in storm crow mode. Same thing happens when i tried using medivh in raven mode. I think you might hafta edit the mdl and separate the crow, and make it its own model. I myself gave up on that and ended up just using an eagle model for my unit.

Don't you need Alternateex in Art - Required Animation Names as well?
