A Song Of Ice And Fire

This is a map based of the epic fantasy series by George RR Martin. It's almost exactly like Ring Wars, only funner terrain.

If you are familiar with the book series, you will be pleased to know that this map is not a piece of trash.

Features:

1. Terrain looks like the maps you find in the book (Iron Islands, Riverlands, Dorne, Dragonstone) So expect to look at the book map and the minimap and see an amazing reflection, every piece of terrain is from that map.

2. Reconisable structures, such as the Wall.

3. 11! Players include:

House Lannister
House Stark
House Tully
House Arryn
House Baratheon
House Targaryen
House Tyrell
House Greyjoy
House Martell
The Sworn Brothers Of The Night's Watch
The Wildlings
And....The Brotherhood Without Banners (5 outlaw heros, brigand)

All of these are straight from the book.

4. The map itself takes place before Robert's Rebellion.

5. Beutiful landscape, thousands of NPC doodads, such as farmlands, haystacks, forests, buildings. Trees are rivers populate this map, making unit placement a big deal.

6. Unlike Ring Wars, the actual cities, FEEL like a city, i.e. buildings everywhere, roads, lamposts, random doodads like benches.

7. Over 16 Custom Heros, over 30 custom units, over 50 custom buildings!

8. Each Player (expect Brotherhood) has player-specific unit. These are expensive, but will dominate the battlefield. Such units include; The evil Others, the Thorn Archers, The River Sharks, The Ironbourne, The Ranger, etc.

9. Each player has 3 cities, each one from the book. You'll be able to Storm King's Landing, Crush Castle Black, besiege Lannisport, Mass an army in Oldtown, and many more.

10. Triggers done to maximize gameplay, such as opening gates, units spawning in bases, kill's charts, gold timers, etc.

11. Familiar Landmarks such as God's Eye, Dornish mountains, Haunted forest, Barrowlands, The Neck, The Vale Of Arryn, and more!

12. Clash against enemies on land, AND sea! Ships can be built by every player and add a whole new strategy.

13. Characters from the book! Lord Eddard Stark, Lord Tywin Lannister, Lord Balon Greyjoy, King Aerys Targaryen, Mance Rayder, Lem Lemoncloak, and much, much more!

14. HUGE map, with oceans, lakes, and of course, Westoros!

15. It's FUN!

Thats about all I can think of now. However, so far, this entire map has been done by me, and me only. I would LOVE to have any help by anyone who wants to be part of this project. I would say it is 77% complete. Theres a little bugs to be fixed, and some triggers that need to be put in.

The sad thing is, I cannot host games, so when the Beta is ready to roll, I will put the map here and on http://maps.worldofwar.net/

So when that happens, please, those who are intrested please download it from there and host it on B.net.

And as I said before, I would love extra help, so email me at [email protected] and tell me why I should let you join. Just say your strengths, i.e. Triggers, Custom Units.

BTW if you can host, you will probably be accepted immediatly. If not, chances are I'll say no.

im quite good at triggers Frozen, but can't you make a door close and open?? its sooooooo easy...

I don't know much about trigger, most things for me, if they aren't straight-forward, I give up.

I managed to do the unit spawing things (so many units spawn here every 23 seconds...) that alone took a very LONG time, first I had to figure it out, since Ring Wars was protected.

BTW do you want in? I would love to have a trigger person on the team.
