Warcraft 2 Remake, In Development, take a look at its first map!

This is the first level for Warcraft 2, I will be recreating the whole entire Warcraft 2 if I get enough support. Also, I noticed that there was another mod going around, but it didn't have the spunk I wanted, so I am making my own. Please give comments, It's only a first level so bare with me. The map is 2.5 megabytes, because of imported music and voice acting. When the Map loads, listen to the mission briefing before you hit Any Key to Continue. Enjoy and Comments please!

And can you do me the favor of posting a pic of it for poor people like me who dont have TFT (at least for about two days !!!!!!!:ggani: :ggani: :ggani: )? sounds good though. Its bound to be interesting.

Course! What would you like a picture of? There really isn't much to look at during this time. Anything you want in particular?

Semi-Crusty Poll:

Should I implent the ship system into Warcraft 3? I hated it but I would like to see what everyone else thinks... I could easyly do a workaround or just not do it at all. I never liked the whole build 6 transports just to send over an army...

It looked pretty good overall. I especially liked the introduction. The terrain was acceptable, but I think having more doodads would help. One bug: I noticed that you had call to arms available.

DARN! I thought I had gotten rid of all that! Ok onto fixing... Thanks Oinkerwinkle. I will see about adding doodads and such.

I thought the voice acting was superb , but it was not much of a challenge to beat you could have the orcs send an ambush party towards the human encampment and lower the prices a bit but not to the normal prices the music was fine but everything cost to much and it needs doodads other wise a great start to a campaign also the story is believable . This needs Cinematic's !

This level is the same as it was in Warcraft II as far as unit health, cost, and damage go. It also has the exact same number of Orcs. (I think it was probably the easiest level Blizzard ever made...) I agree that it needs more doodads.

Ships and oil would be nice. Also I have a few WC2 melee maps converted with 100% accuracy into w3x files, via zephyrs WE if you want any of them. I imagine if you wanted to redo the wc2 campaigns accuratly you could extract their map files and then convert them via zephyrs (if it still works).

I am not cheating to do my campagin. Also, I am not putting in Oil, I have always hated mining a 3rd resource and well... I must have a GOOD reason TO implent it... It was just so annoying...

With out the third resource its not WC2 though, that is what limited you from building units so quickly, the need for oil.

Found a few minor problems:

Peasants need to enter town hall when returning gold, wood too (lumber mill).

Damage seems to be a bit off from what WC2 has, meaning you need the max dmg to work vs all armor, and then the minumum to work based off how much they have, and then piercing damage which is an entire other boat.

Gold mines need more money.

Unused Peasant icon = wisp icon

When trying to build units and having max food, it says you need more Moonwells, though I assure you there was no moonwells as a human :)

Trees fall too fast and give to little wood per tree, resulting in flattened forests very quickly.

Only one peasant was allowed per tree in WC2, and when it was cut down, you get 100 wood, rather than when the peasant is full (right?)

Thats about it, gj otherwise

That's odd... When I used it it said 'Build more farms'... Did you select your race as Human or Night Elf?

ah thats what it was, i was random as it let me be, you should set it to human and make it unchangable :P
