Hex prevents attacks?

I have modified Hex to convert a target unit into a Zombie instead of a critter. However, when the target unit is converted, it will not attack of its own free will. (It might not even attack if ordered, but I haven't tested this...) Whats up with that? I have tried removing the custom Zombie units' ability to Flee, but that didn't help.

Hex is meant to stop the unit from attacking. Do you want the effect to wear off after a while? Because if you don't mind it lasting forever, you could modify Dark Conversion.

Oh, okay, I thought the inability to attack was a side effect of being a critter. Well, It needs to wear off, so I'll stick with what I've got, as even without an attack the zombies serve their purpose.
