Ok, 1, I got some weapon models and i want to add them to a model. how? i got tft and inport manager and it is great! But i think u use triggers anyway! :) And if u can, not have the old weapon there. the weapon they had befor. 2, is there a way to use a model form like lightwave,or 3d studio max, or gmax and change them in to a mdx files so we can use them? go to http://www.turbosquid.com like thos files. can we use them in warcraft? plz help! thanx for even reading this guys!:ggani: |

1. Yes you do use triggers, use a condition like, start of the game, and put the action as special effect- add special effect to unit using the right hand or left hand and then select your imported model 2. A lot of the free models at turbosquig are high poly models that would not really fit in wc3. and in order to eliminate the unit's existing weapon, follow some of the alpha editing tutorials on the site |

delete the "war3mapimported\" part edit: that is for ur import model |

thanx! so every model that the maker did not give a patvh to is just like "warrior.mdx"? or units\ or something? and all blp are in the textures folder? that wut i pretty much do and it all works! thax again! and the weapons are neato! thanx thanx and thank you!:ggani: |

For every model, the path of the SKIN is defined in the .mdl file. When it is exported as a .mdx, the default is just nothing. So you can always leave the war3mapimported, but remember, unless the SKIN path is specified, it will always never have anything in front of it. So for the skin, you remove the war3mapimported, but don't add anything else |

soo.... if a skin of model has no patch,(the maker did not give) just leave it as defult? ok, ill try that! thanx agin ppl!:D |
