I need to know if there is a way to import a MIDI music file and play it in a game instead of importing a WAV or MP3 music file. If there is a way to do something so that it music doesnt make my map 20 times bigger then it should be, please tell me, im the most confused person when it comes to the sound editor emote_sweat

I havnt found a way to use a MIDI in the editor, dont think Wc3 supports that. But if you take a MP3, decode it into a wav file, then re-encode it at a smaller bitrate you can reduce the file size dramatically. I use a mp3 in my RPG thats about 1:04 and its only arround 100k added to the map (making the final size 435k instead of 345k)

Wait wait wait. I dont have any idea what you are talking about. How and in what way to you re-encode? Is there a certian program. Remember Im a noob :( I have no idea what re-encoding is. All i know is that with mp3 files on my map, it becomes about 20000kb when it should only be about 500kb. Please tell me how to do what you where talking about.

use the decoder to take a MP3 and make it into a wav. Use the Encoder to make a Wav into a MP3. Before you Encode a MP3, click the little properties button and choose the encoding properties. The less the bitrate, the smaller the file size, it will give you a estimated file size at the bottom of the screen
