Yes thats right wartego will be featuring POPUP text. What is that? Well i have enclosed a quick demo. Tell me what u think?

I made it because text couldnt be read because of too many units below confusing the graphics. This allows the text to be much more readable and has a cool effect.

Map is protected for now because I havent release Wartego but once I do then I will release parts of the code that people are interested in.

Dude thats freaking awesome, did you do it with a multiboard or what? I would LOVE to use something like that in the Sims map I thought about making... keep up the good work! *sighs in jealousy because he can't make such advanced material.. yet* ^_^

It's alright. Did you make a box model skin it into a 50% black box unit then line it up with the text? I only ask because i could target and move a unit which had the model of a box. Then it got all stupid on me. It's cool but no 100% necessary whateva!

I believe it's actually a fade filter that is lined up with the text. It's been used before.

LOL its funny some of the shit Ive heard... its this no its THIS nooo its THIS!!

Its not a fade filter, its not floating text, its not a new model for every text you want to say....

Keep on guessing... And I did leave the unit in the middle to give it away so.......

Oxalic you are on the right track... And trust me to get this to work takes HOURS if you want to have more than one camera view. Im not even sure it will work with moving camera views but it MIGHT work with a camera that is locked to a unit... I dont need that so I havent tried to get that to work.

Ya, it was kind of weird... I moved my cursor by it and noticed that it was a unit. Then, I moved it, and everything screwed up, and the triggers would no longer work..

Of course it sounds like he looked at the code hehe

Anyways it is very complex because of camera angels. You literaly have to hand move the unit till its in the right place at the right scale... a real pain...

However thanks to Quell he got me thinking of fade filters... and now i have a better one that i will release soon.....

The only draw back to filters is that it fades instead of popup... However fade filters are a TON TON TON easier...

Here is my demo of what i like to call sizzle text.

Note this works for text from 1-5 lines in height.

If you want more get out the PS and have to it. You can also alter the blps and make any type of box look you would like.

Although this isnt true popup its pretty close and alot easier to make.

However it is about 5 times the size due to the new blps.

I made my own text thingy...... anyhow it's just a fade filter with a cooler theme. Just look at it i know it needs work if anyone likes it then just tell me so and ill develope and work out the thought.
