Guest | From what you posted first, it looks like you are putting your .blp file into the .w3m root directory. You must put the .blp file into the units\orc\grunt\ directory for it to work when you enter units\orc\grunt\grant.blp in the world editor. Or just leave the .blp file there, and put in "grant.blp" into the world editor. |

Guest | OK, I think I know whats happening. The units\orc\grunt\grunt thing you put in the World Editor references to the model used. So if you haven't edited the model, there are two choices of what you can do. 1) Change the name of your .blp file to the name of the default .blp file for that unit. So for the grunt it would be Grunt.blp, this is the easy way to do it, but you can't use the old skin this way. 2) You have to edit the model for the grunt to point to the name of your new .blp file. It is in the skinning tutorial on how to do this. This way you can make as many different models pointing to as many different skins as you want. |

You need a Grant.mdx and a graunt_portrait.mdx, and both have to have refences to the skin grant. You can change this with a hex editor or YobGul's converter. Cookie's tutorial explains this more in depth. |

You edit it with a Hex editor, or War3FileConverter. |

Yeah you have already said this to me in another post so now i know what to edit but what i meant was what are you going to edit IN the portrait.mdx |
