ok, i really want to be a grapic maker and make like kool 3d models for like warcraft-like games. making ppl and warriors! elfs and dwarfs! things like that! but the thing is, i dont know where to start! i dont have $$ to buy 3d studio max or anyhing like it. so wut 3d program can i get for free and is easy for noobs! that has tutorials. plz help me! thanx!:ggani: ;) |

Well, you really do need 3d studio max, you can use other 3d apps such as milkshape 3D but the importers and exporters can be dodgy to use with warcraft 3 models. Also any 3d app is going to be pretty difficult to use if youve never done it before regardless of tutorials. Your best bet is to attempt to attain a copy of 3dMax 4.2 (can't help ya there) and download the Wc3 Arttools from blizzard and read thro the tutorials..... |

hmm.. ok. ill try get 3d studio max 4. and i just got milksharp and i tryed opening a mxd and it is not opening. error i think. and can milksharp open mdl files? and is milksharp hard? thanx dude. ill try learn milksharp cuz its free. :ggani: and gmax but that hard!;) |

Heres a link to the importer/exporter, i cant help u with milkshape cause ive never used it, have a look around see if there are any tutorials, Ive only been modelling for about 2 weeks but with a lot of hard work u can get good fast, heres a shot of one of my first models for ya. good luck. |
