Well, i need an alien model for this map thats like.. .. uh i would say 100% done on terrain and i have the life cycle done for it too, every things done but i need a model or skin that looks like an alien, preferbally a model, because the only alien looking creature to me is the one naga slave guy, but he doesnt have a tail >.< if anyones wondering what kinda aliens im talking about, im talking about the ones from alien, aliens, aliens 2, aliens reserection, you know the ones with "ripley" or however you spell her name. sum pics-> dats a pretty alien head :gsmile: http://www.alienscollection.com/gortkit.jpg and theres another pretty pichttp://www.alienscollection.com/sol1.jpg awww hes so cute well anyways, i think you got the idea of what ones im talking about now, if anyone wants to see the map so far id be glad to show you on b.net, just tell me on here you wanna see it and stuff: ) anyways.. ...need... alien.. model... *drool* then i can finally complete a good map : ) |

It might be possible to try and rip some of the models out of aliens vs. predator extinction and import them into Max if your feeling adventurous as some programs allow you to rip other psx stuff from games such as movies/music etc. so this may be possible, might be worth a look. |

Oooohh.. that sounds really fun *devilish grin* but i dont think i would know how to do that, mutch less have the programs that do it, but i would if i could : )... il check dat link out, thanks for your replys.. and stuff, but im still looking for a modeler of corse il add preds, i already have a skin that works wonderfully on the demonhunter... and i rigged a few goblin land minds for those .. uh.. lol.. throw..-ie.. ..dic...-ie thingys... ..lol yeah..lol Comeone people, motivation! for the sake of sicence and your left shoe! of corse il reward |

I dont think i could model well enuff yet to do an alien that'd give u justice. Thier "smart weapons" btw. <-Definitive source on Yautja. (Predators) Intrestingly enuff preds call aliens Kainde Amedha (Hard Meat) and call humans Pyode Amedha (Soft Meat) Prey classification. Shoulder cannons are shoulder mounted plasma casters, and they reside mostly in hot wet climates, some of the swamp tilesets would be fantastic. |

heh, nice, i do have a warm temprature tileset, kinda a jungley swampish place with some patches of desert or cleared away land from the humans excivations and stuff, i came up with a new idea besides completely makeing over a new alien, but to make attatcmnets like ohh.. say a tail and head for the murdoc slave, personally i think that woulf fit best.. because no ones motivated enought to do an entire new set of animations,a new model, a skin and so on so on... woul you possably be able to do that? just the attatchments im saying. the preds dont play a huge roll in this tho, their just another enemy of the aliens, you actually play the aliens for the main-ish charicter.. like.. things... its sorta a RPG if you will. |

I dont think it'd look that great, the murloc itself has no animations for a tail, i believe there is a tutorial here somewhere for adding a moveable tail though. I myself havent had much luck merging animations from different units into one unit file. As far as the murloc goes it'd need some serious editing to get it looking proper, (a body strech some major head re-working, lose that shield and the weapon etc) The main problems with this stem from you'd have to use its existing animations and warping its head then getting it to fit the standard animations wouldn't be too easy, I regret i cannot try and do this for you right now as i already said i'd make a model for someone else at the moment. Otherwise i might look into it, but i wouldnt wnat to do it if i couldnt do it well if u see what i mean, Also, after a bit of looking it seems pple have already had stabs at doing this model, mebbe u could aks them nicely if you could use it? I already went and looked at that, and sent a PM to the owner he hasent said anything yet, but its ok. he didnt do anything new to the murdoc slave he used the murdoc slave, not some random murdoc warrior because it just has hands no sward or sheild, i also chose that in one of my maps (i have several alien maps) and one skin -_- the skin is way too detailed... its like.. .. the details dont even show up its so detailed... ..no contrast.. .. anywase... yeah give the head thingy a try.. . like.. make a long head or w/e.. i know it'd look crappy but i dont really need an animatede tail.. you do know what attachmenst are??... then dont need to part of the unit you add them on with triggers. |

If u want I can model the alien(starting next week cause im busy now) but without unwrapping and animations(well maybe at the end Ill get the inspiration but now.. I dont know) PM me if ur interested or just reply. |

You could get someone to geoset the hydralisk head and a tail from something onto the murloc slave. |
