Well, this is based off the AvP map in SC. I set up most of the terrain, a bunch of aliens, and I have 5 classes: Officer, Combat Engineer, Melee Soldier, Ranged Soldier, and Pyro. Officer is basically an aura-based support unit, Combat Engineer does what his name is(builds sentry guns, gonna give him a motion tracker, although it might be annoying with tons of aliens around, and figure out where the hell mines are under object editor), Melee Soldier is basically the fighter, Ranged Soldier - DUH shoots stuff, and Pyro's a fire based assault unit. I haven't figured out many spells yet all have 3 levels, but for Pyro I have Incinedary Grenade(Drunken Haze + burning effects), Wall of Fire(Exactly immolation. Might change it a bit -- either the name or what it does), Flame Burst(Breath of Fire with some beef); for the Ranged Soldier, Grenade Launcher(Storm Bolt + area damage); Engineer has Deploy Sentry Gun(Serpent Ward basically); and Melee Soldier has Defend(takes less damage from everything, slower movement, and does reduced damage) I figured I'd give the Ranged Soldier critical strike(renamed marksman or Xenomorph Anatomy or somethin), Melee Soldier would get some kind of berserker(or self-bloodlust). I'd also have vision range changed a bit. Officer and Ranged Soldier have the most, Pyro has the least. Ah, need some more ideas for spells and crap. |

Officer Auras. Increased stats. Officers inspire, after all. Combat Engineer Wards for damage or healing* Temporary towers (summon a unit via channeling and make it immobile, or build some type of tower-tank. Your imagination...) Melee Soldier Teleport attack. Vex has one in his trigger map. +Defense ability Crit ability; typical Ranged Soldier Spell that increases range Spell that Pyro Ignite an area; set a building on via with a channeling spell *Use non-ward models if possible, or invisible wards while channeling to make it appear to be doing something... [edit] Something came up, I'll add stuff later. |

Oh yea, very important: Each class has 4 models, meaning there are 4 skins for the Eng, 4 for the Officer, etc. Although, they are all models from the game already. Since you can't replace the models, I'll have to remove the models while storing whatever abilities they chose, then install them on the new unit model(since I plan to use Heros leveling) I also used more of a fantasy setting for this aliens map(I didn't have much of a choice ... not like this was SC). I also might implement that Ammo thing for the Ranged Infantry. I haven't decided yet, but I'll probably throw it in for balance issues, unless I decide NOT to give the Ranged guy massive damage. I changed the officer from aura-based, to roar-based(as in he's shouting orders). |
