Would it be possible to create a unit for a player within an unexplored area or fog of war, while granting full vision of the unit, but not of the surrounding terrain. I don't mean, "only a tiny part of the surrounding terrain," or "only grant vision for a tiny while." I need the unit to be _permanently_ visible, without giving _any_ information about the obscure terrain. I've found that editing the sight radius for the unit to 0 doesn't work. Thanks in advance. |

Sorry, editing sight range would have been your only chance. Just the wc3 engine is built like that it isn't expected to have this feature. So if having sight range as 0 doesn't work, then you're screwed. You can "try" extensively adding fog modifyers where the unit is. But i doubt it works. Cubasis |

Have you tryed any visibility modifier triggers? I don't think you can make a unit move through fog without the sight radius there without its minimum. Unless you can change the sight minimum in the gameplay constants, I think you might be out of luck. |

Thanks for the feedback. I don't actually need the unit to move, which might be of some help. I'll muck about in the editor a bit. |
