Well, putting skinning aside, I'm working on my own AOS map. I must play AOS maps more than any other, and there's no greater aspiration than recreating it with your own ideas (whilst learning a few skills in the process). Shifting Epoch places your heroes in the typical situation of good versus evil. However, you represent the Moon and the Sun, Yin and Yang, Dark and Light. The Forces of Yin only heal during night time, whilst minions of Yang only heal during the day. Each cycle it half day, half night. Your objective is to destroy the opposing citadel. There are many obstacles hindering this mission, such as enemy heroes, the opposing forces, and defences. There are also unaligned forces which will attack both powers. There are a selection of artefacts that can be sought across the map, various ancient monsters and legendary creep heroes to be fought. Attached is a WIP of the map. |

Sounds pretty neat, Whitehorn. You might want to consider having the Yang side be blighted, and as they "take" territory, the blight would invade the Yin side. Conversely, the Yin side would remove blight around their controlled areas. Units within their own sign might have abilities, but can't perform them outside of blight/non blighted regions? Or get bonuses to their damage/armor if on blight/non blight? |

Bigass map. Looks like you've already put more work into it than most finished AOSes, so this should be better than the rest. Then again, not like that's hard in any way... |

Yin Hero: The Despoiler Pretty much the antithesis of the KotG. Abilities are: Nature's Torment; summoning a large Plagued Treant (Corrupted Ancient Protectors) Plague Parasite; adds poison to attacks, and any unit killed under the effect of the attack turn into plague parasites (Corrupted Treants). Tangling vines; an impaling effect of tangling roots, grabbing a selection of enemies in a path away from the Despoiler. Pestilence; the oposing power of tranquility, dealing damage to all units under the effect of the area. |

I've made a demon sword, that grows in power with each level that the wielder gains, until it has grown 10 levels (whilst being in use), and then it possesses the holder, killing them. When the demon is 'killed', it turns back into the sword, waiting for teh next poor victim to pick up. |

Dude, that'd be so mean. You get a kickass item, you're about to crush an enemy assault, and *boom*! Your hero is gone, replaced by a massively powerful creep that then kicks your ass. Awesome idea. |

Yang Hero: Fire Demon Abilities: [middle right] Immolation - as normal, but bigger and better graphics. [bottom left] Combustion - A forked lightning effect, but with explosive flames. [bottom right] Rain of Fire - as normal [middle left] Demonic Furnace - Avatar. |

Please, do not allow Demon Illidan to join into this one. I'm so sick of him in every AOS map, being over powered. |

Next hero up is currently unnamed. He is something along the lines of worm/death/swamp/spawn <person>... Abilities: Summon Spiked worm. Spiked worms can either possess an enemy unit (up to level 5), or evolve. Summon is limited to 1 creature per level of abilty (1-5). When they possess, they are essentially killed, so can be replaced, effectively allowing limitless possessed units, albeit weak and likely damaged/to be killed. Unearthly Calling; a localised attack, calling spikes from underground to strike enemy forces around the hero. Aura of Pestilence; reduces enemy armour. Soul Strike; calls forth a great gust of death coil style souls to bombard the enemy. |
