Make Your Own Stuff Instead Of Recoloring. |

If your still newbishly new to skinning try some differant CnP, nifty recolors, add some extra detail and you could make a fairly good skin... that was how I learned so good luck. |

naw cnp is much better then recolor, because cnp takes (little)skill to resize and place differently depending on the model. |

Here's what i say about the skins... 1) 4/10 Invert and then recolor i think. Pretty obvious since the muscles are darker on the inside than outside. 2) 5/10 I can't tell much of a difference other than the blue and the shield. Still looks ok. 3) 7/10 Looks cool but its just a recolor. Notice: I dont give above 7/10 on anything just copletely recolor, invert, complete CnP, or completely texture. Keep learning and soon you'll become a good freehand skinner. :D |

I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this, but ALL SKINS ARE RECOLOURS. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A NON RE-COLOUR SKIN. GET OVER IT. EVERY ORIGINAL TEXTURE IS JUST RE COLOURING A TEXTURE. GET THE **** OVER YOURSELVES. IM SICK OF YOU SHITHEADS POSTING THESE FLAMES FOR ASPIRING SKINNERS :< :< :< |

About the most poorly thought out of idiotic terms like that... (you know what I mean.) A re-color is when you color over, or just edit the hue and saturation, and lightness, which is stealing the true skinner's work. A freehand is where you make your OWN textures, starting with a solid color (usually grays) and drawing EVERYTHING on it, using only the UV map blizz made, NONE of their details. Your little term is as idiotic as vegetarians. They think that 50 people less eating meat is REALLY going to make up for the multi-trillions who eat meat. Also, the same number of cows are killed anyways, who cares if their stupid ass wont eat it. If you say this was off topic, you are even STUPIDER, and can't tell a comparison apart from a normal phrase. ---- 1: 0/10, just a damn invert. Can be made with one keystroke in MSpaint... 2: -1/10, a recolor, and a very BAD one at that. The colors don't fit at all, and thats all you changed, thus what you did inflicted only negative on blizz's work. 3: 2/10, Its a decent recolor. If you want anything over a 2/10 from me, and anyone who can skin themselves, you should NEVER recolor or cnp, unless you do a fair amount of freehand too. Well done recolors and cnp's (there are a small few of them floating around) are fine though. |
