Really good! You've improved a lot! :D
PS: In the first screen, the tree above the mountain on the left side looks a bit strange there.

It looks alright to me, although I have a few critiques.
First - the corn/corps look a little crammed in, and in the first shot it looks like they are overtop of the wind mill. Also, all the crops on the hills look rather odd in my opinion. To my knowledge, farmers generally plant their crops on as level ground as possible and if they are faced with mountainous terrain to plant on, they generally build terraces. (Like steps up the mountain with crops in each level)

Second - I like the hillyness and mountainous look you have going. But, make sure to set the maximum roll angle on the rocks and other doodads that you might be placing on the hills to avoid "floating rocks"

Third - try scaling up the windmills if you are going to place them in the midst of the crops. In my opinion the only good windmill is a big one! :D

Not a bad look you have there.

The road screen shot is a bit too symetrical. Mix the road up and add more variation instead of a single straight line of road.

The hills are a bit too exaggerated, IMO. Use the smooth tool, like +8, on some of those big hills.

In the first screen, the crops are overwhelming the environment. Cut down on them and decrease their scaling. Plus, the whole scene looks a little cluttered with plants and life. It's a town, so I assume that they have made a clearing and organized their space.

Edit - Plus, roads arent usually built over hills, yet around them.

And umm, I guess this isn't really a critique, but more of a suggestion : That tileset does not go well with human towns and such. Just, bleh, dunno, doesn't look appealing. Too much life growing on a tileset that is dying. Too much green mixed with brown.

Last edit - BTW, when taking screen shots, take away that left hand minimap and viewer. Windows --> Minimap (Check off)

Alrite i took some of the things into consideration and i made the corn smaller and the windmill bigger also i varied the parth in the eviroment thingy. I imported some files and i am starting to work on some cameras for a cinematic.

Oh and if you want to know where to get the trees you should ask Exn(i think thats his name) i just downloaded them from somewhere i forgot.
ya and im only 13 just turned it feb 2, so lol.

Edit: this is all wip it might be changed

JESUS CHRIST! THATS STUNNING! :D I have to agree with "Recca" though, the tree does look a bit odd but I suppose these are outdated screenshots. Also please DON'T make a clearing, it looks excellent the way it is, so rich and full of activity, It kind of reminds me of Australian outback towns (I used to live in AUS before coming back to the UK) and please dont lose your theme, the brown tile adds a sence of harshness to the whole scene that you don't see in many maps.

Keep it up!

Btw I'm 13 too, while I can' trigger my maps can still look pretty! :ggani:

Eh, I think being 13 has nothing to do with the lack of visualizing a good scenery. I'm 14, 15 May 12th. I think some people limit themselves because they believe as they grow older, their skills will somehow magically increase. The only thing that is going to increase as you progress in your physiological age is your maturity and size, not your talents as a visualizer. And if you already know this, then I think it's a poor excuse :)

On the other hand, not being able to do some of the math aquired only in High School can restrict the younger triggerers, yet simple triggers require common sense and practice. Pretending you don't know how it works before you even try it can lead to self-limits and lower self-esteem.

Sorry if I'm sounding dull to a lot of you, (even though the majority might secretly find it to be enlightening) but I encourage all map makers to strive to be 101% and, as the army says it, be all you can be.

first of all i was not using being 13 as a excuse. Second of all i am in algebra 1(ninth grade math high school math) and im only i seventh grader accually(spelling???) im advanced 2 years for my grade level in(math class only) and a few other kids are at my school(yes it is public) so i dont get what you are try to say with that math sh*t you are talking about and i think that is good terrain the guy who lived in austrailia is right. I am trying to make it look realistic by adding all of that stuff...and i think and other think that it looks good so stop making fun of me and making to many asumptions....think before you write.

EDIT: and no the hills arent exaggerated if you look at this world geography it supports most sizes of hills and this does not even come close to the heighth limit i appreiciate the path thing you said, but i think you should give better feedback crits next time not stuff about hills but about dooadad placement tileest theme ect. ect. ect.

Edit: i hope you werent direction the trigger stuff to me because i can do some and i am learning.
