Calling all programers...

I am currently a map maker for the WC3 ROC community, not TFT because I don't have it :(
Well anyway I was working on a rpg a long time ago and quit playing WC3 for a reason I forgot. Well anyway I came back and am interested in bringing my project back but theres a problem. Back then before TFT I created he map with the size 480x480, now my WE will not let me save my map because they put some kind of size limiter in...... now if I try to save it saves my map as a w3x file instead of a w3m.... now I was wondering.
Can a programer please help me and people like me by making a program that can block out the size limiter or perhaps force saving as a w3m instead of a w3x, thanks.

I think one of the world edit restriction relievers might fix that problem

That would be great :) But who

Are you sure it saves the map as w3x because of the size or might there be other reasons that it considers it a expansion map?

Yeah, says due to the max map size of 192x192 your map will be saves as a expansion map

maybe maps over that size just started when the expansion came out so wc3 regular did not have it that big?

If it helps this is a pic of the exact message.

Please if there any programers that can stop that from happening I will forever be greatful. It was so fun making my rpg but now because of this it is now garbage :(

Maybe by making a program which stops the editor at the memoryadress at the point where the editor checks for the size and bypass it with he program.

What about latering the header on the completed map. I'm assuming thats the way that Warcraft III detects if the map it RoC or TFT (as well as the file type, but you can just change that manually). Unfortunately, my knowledge of Wacraft III headers doesn't go far enough to give you a definite solution, but I'll have a poke around.

Tyraxor's idea would work I guess. The NoLimits patch does the same thing with the doodad limit.

I assume that this limit is not there for nothing. So you should think what happens if you let that out...

You could make maps larger than 192x192 before TFT came out, so I'd assume that the problem is just a bug in the WE's saving operations.

I don't think its a bug. Me and some friends determined it is part of the conspiracy to force people with ROC to buy TFT.... But nm that :) The question is is there anyone that will make such a program.

don't think so.

Anyone who would have the goods to do so owns TFT I guess.
