Im using the Orc Blademaster on one of my map, with custom spells (obviously) and he has the Lightning Ability (Chain Lightning without the Chain part.....) and i have it using the "Attack Slam" animation...

however, i want him to cast the lighting when his sword hits the ground, right now he casts it before it, so it dosen't look very good....

is there anyway i can delay the casting of the spell (maybe the effect of it....im not sure wats best), but not the animation????

Make the casting time something...1 should do it, depends. Just play arround with that.

Changing the casting time won't do anything, because then it would just wait X seconds to both play the animation and cast the spell, so you wouldn't have accomlished anything. The easiest way I can think of would be to use a dummy spell (spell that does nothing), then play the animation, and then have a dummy unit (or possibly the real unit) cast the spell. Don't ask me how to do the triggers though, I'm just an ideaman >_<

Another way is to change the "art - animation - cast point" of the hero in the object editor, but that will affect all his spells then. If you want this specific spell to be cast with a delay, then creating a dummy caster as suggested above is the only way I can think of.
